I’d like to start out saying this stuff DOES really work. I did watch all the videos and read the instructions they gave to apply this stuff but did learn, it also depends on several factors. So take this review with a grain of salt. I bought my car off a friend with severe clear coat damage already (old GM clear coat sucks) However, I love this car with a deep passion and really wanted to restore the one off paint. If you’re anything like me, you’re poor and cannot afford a whole repaint. So I stumbled upon this stuff, bought it immediately. Now, as they have stated that the application does depend on your clear coat damage, the environment it’s in, the temperature, etc. so I knew this was going to take some trail and error. I started with the prepping of the panel, that was going to be needed regardless. I washed it with soap and water and then with wax and grease remover and that seems to doing a pretty good job. Then I tried what they advised, wiping the stuff on with a shop towel, while this “worked” I live in a very hot and dry place so the rag had to be entirely SOAKED to do any good. It also applied too thin of a layer and would end up streaky af. So time to change gears. What I’ve landed on was the foam paint brushes. It held the product really well, didn’t soak it all the way up the brush or anything like that and kept it at the tip of the brush, this was also a much less messy process. Now, due to my clear coat on the top of my car is basically completely gone, I’m aware it will need several coats and I’m cool with that. The heat and the foam brush seems to end with a fairly streak-less coat. I have been struggling to learn what I can clean the panels with after the coat has been applied (and is obviously completely set and cured) because it will be fine and shiny until I wash it and then it’ll turn hazy in some spots. So I’m still trouble shooting that. I honestly hope that it will be able to be cut and buffed otherwise I think it will be impossible to get a “perfect” look. But this stuff is a hell of a lot better than a whole repaint price wise and I absolutely love the way it’s turning out. I think as long as you’re willing to put in some elbow grease and figure out what works best for your car and the environment you’re in, this is 100% worth it. Truly a worthwhile purchase.
I was initially a bit skeptical and a bit nervous about using this, but my feelings completely changed when I saw the results. WOW!!!!!!! Is it factory perfect, no. Is it 90%+ improved....YES!
The key is to TAKE YOUR TIME and absolutely FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. I can't stress that enough. You must make sure your vehicle is really clean, check your weather forecast for temperatures and precipitation. We spent an extra $5 at the auto store to get shop towel to apply it and it worked great.
When you first put it on, you won't see a dramatic difference instantly. Be patient. As the product dries/cures, the discoloration disappears more and more. I am 100% sold on this product. The only suggestion is to apply this when you notice a problem starting. Don't wait until the damage area gets really large.
I was skeptical since it was just another instagram ad. I put the good stuff onto my car and that thing looked brand new.
